Start with a useful brief

Agent mode organizes work around persistent teammates. Give an agent a name, instructions, and the context it needs. Describe the outcome and any constraints before asking it to act.

• Outcome: what should be different when the task is done?
• Context: which project, files, or prior decisions matter?
• Evidence: what should the agent show so you can verify the result?

Keep context intentional

Saved instructions, memories, and skills help an agent repeat your working preferences. Review that context when the task or project changes. A remembered instruction should not accidentally authorize a new external action.

Review the handoff

Inspect the task status and output. A completed turn means the run ended successfully; use file changes, tests, and other evidence to decide whether the task meets your standard. Failed and canceled runs need their own follow-up.
