Ranking rules

All-time ranking

Products are ranked by their total confirmed bid value, highest first. Confirmed value can come from successfully paid bids or a clearly labeled promotional credit issued by OverMCP. If two products have the same total, the product that reached that total first ranks higher.

Bids

The minimum paid bid is $3. A new payment adds to a product’s existing total. Promotional credits count at their displayed value and are identified on the leaderboard. Pending, failed, expired, refunded, or disputed payments do not count toward rank.

Placement duration

A product keeps its earned position until another product’s confirmed total passes it. While holding the all-time #1 position, it also appears in the labeled #1 homepage spotlight and receives priority when daily backing totals are tied. There is no recurring listing fee and no guaranteed duration, traffic volume, or conversion outcome.

Public measurements

OverMCP publicly shows confirmed bid value, identifies promotional credits, and reports tracked outbound clicks. Repeated manual outbound visits are counted as clicks, not unique visitors. Automated preview bots are excluded, and fair-use limits may cap excessive traffic.

Daily crowd race

Every active product may compete in the UTC daily race. A person may back products repeatedly. Each accepted backing is counted as a separate backing—not a separate visitor—and opens the selected product. Daily crowd rank does not replace or alter a product’s paid all-time placement.

We may rate-limit or discard automated, coordinated, purchased, excessive, or otherwise manipulated backing. Ties in the daily race follow the products’ all-time paid order.

Removal

We may hide products that are illegal, deceptive, unsafe, infringing, malicious, or materially misrepresented. Buying placement does not imply endorsement by OverMCP.
